Eleonora Masseti mua
WEDDING MAKE-UP ARTIST
I remember the scent of freshly sharpened pencil lead, the color that stained my fingers, the curls that fell onto the table with their jagged and colorful tips. I was little, and the colors hypnotized me. I watched my grandfather for hours in front of the canvas, his hands dirty with thick and fragrant paint, the palette where the brushes with their rough bristles were dipped, the smell of turpentine. I lay on the floor hugged by his German Shepherd, who was sometimes bigger than me. How fascinated I was by the tutus of the ballerinas, with their pale pinks, soft and rigid, swirling on the stage. I opened my mother’s beauty case, a secret chest full of treasures, and secretly stole lipsticks to try them on in front of the mirror and feel beautiful like one of those ballerinas. There was a beautiful pink, I will never forget it, soft as velvet, warm as a sunset on the sea, in a golden case: it seemed like a precious jewel and I treated it with reverence. I wonder what happened to that lipstick!
My Story
Growing up, this passion for colors and make-up became increasingly dominant, I “used” my friends’ faces as canvases to experiment. The result was not always perfect, but I had a lot of fun, it felt like I had entered another wonderful, colorful world where everyone was free to express their personality.
Believing in your dreams and passions is not easy, often it is the hardest path to take, but it is the only way to shine and be yourself: one day I took courage and enrolled in the New Line Academy, a renowned beauty and make-up school in Florence, recognized at the European level. It was one of the most intense and wonderful formative periods of my life, a concentration of experience, new encounters, contaminations, and challenges. My passion for being a make-up artist became my job. Can you believe it? I couldn’t, it seemed impossible to me, and even now sometimes it seems like just a beautiful dream, yet I am a wedding make-up artist, and more.
BRIDAL MAKE-UP ARTIST
I love everything about my profession as a make-up artist, but what I prefer are the brides, maybe because they remind me of the delicate tutus of the ballerinas, the joy of feeling beautiful, the wonderful sensation of seeing them blossom under my hands, their faces lighting up when they look in the mirror: sometimes I seem to see my child’s eyes reflected in that mirror, with the pink lipstick in hand, and I surprise myself winking. You did it Eleonora, you are a make-up artist!
Fate has it that another of my passions often connects me with my clients: my love for animals. I have always been used to having furry friends at home since I was a child, and they have been an integral part of my growth: from them, I learned to take care of others, I experienced unconditional love, the beauty of cuddles, and the laughter in the afternoons in the garden. Even now, my home is surrounded by four-legged love, I couldn’t do without it, and I realized that almost all of my clients have the same passion! Like attracts like?
I love my job as a make-up artist, one of the many fascinating aspects is the possibility of reaching enchanting places in Tuscany, there are dream locations for weddings and ceremonies that I often go back to visit in my spare time! And then it’s magnificent to search for new solutions, adapt make-up techniques and experiment, create make-up that is emotion-proof; I love meeting new brides, new celebrants, new models, and why not even some guys: new people who want to feel beautiful.
